This wall is called “The Paths to God”. including the green and white painting. The green path looks easy but it is the narrow bumpy road that leads to God. Below is the check mark for “Heaven’s OK”. Below that is the heart with virtues. Tiny souls on the right represents non-violence. On the left is “Peace”. There is also Love and a meditation circle. My friend added to the largest painting, “Fountain of Mercy”. And there are pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Susan Shepard is a contemporary artist who paints colorful artwork on wood and canvas using acrylic paint. Susan has been painting since 2002. Susan paints with her fingers on the floor but sometimes she uses a palate knife or a brush. Susan is inspired by colors and textures. Susan also loves to pour like Pollack as in the painting Pollack Interrupted which gets its title because the pouring was interrupted with tape. Now that Susan has discovered pouring medium she uses either water or the pouring medium or both to dilute the paint. Many of her pieces have religious significance.
